Does Charminar ever sleep??
It was DH’s Photography walk to Charminar. 7:30 am and we walked the streets. A place nostalgically crowded stood still as if ready to unfold….
I looked at the empty pillars and roads. It was for the first time I could look around and could see things as they are!
Morning breeze, temple bells from some distance, vendors sweeping and sips of tea…. The lanes, the rusty fences and the many little thing that otherwise gets lost in the crowd.
It was my first time to sunday second hand bazar! As if the Pandora’s box has been opened!! Anything to everything, from pins, pens refills to SLR camera lenses! Utensils to antiques! And the people selling them were equally unique.
It was my first time “time-travelling” experience. I was carried back and forth in time. A moment in past and the next moment back in present. Now you become a part of the crazy crown and suddenly you are all alone like invisible witnessing the crowd.
Everything has a story. A story of past and present with a hope for tomorrow.
Empty lanes soon filled in with its usual habitats, men, women…children and horns started pushing around. It was time to return to our nest!
